In today's times smooth, very quick and safe material flow is the essential requirement in logistics to ensure efficient and failure-free operating procedures.
Safely functioning industrial doors that are optimally integrated in the in-house operating procedures are an essential prerequisite to ensure that. Damage to doors due to collision or outright non-operation periods cause expense and disturb the operating procedure.
Over 20 years ago Butzbach GmbH developed the laterally opening door NOVOSPRINT, which makes the in-house material flow faster and safer, thereby preventing high expenditures due to long downtimes. Since then the NOVOSPRINT has constantly been improved with regard to the highest quality aspects and has been optimised for the quick material flow.
Suppliers of vertically opening high-speed doors promote their products with technologies like “anti-crash or anti-collision protection”, “flexible high-speed doors” or the so-called “soft-edge technology”. The mentioned technologies were developed to prevent or at least alleviate the damage to doors and material due to collision with vertically opening doors. In contrast the laterally opening high-speed Butzbach door NOVOSPRINT prevents this danger potential alone due to its intelligent opening principle and guarantees safe and friction-free material flow at all times protecting man and material. Due to the lateral opening of the two door halves, opening is twice as fast and opposed to vertically opening doors, the complete opening height is immediately accessible for the user. By integrating transparent panels at eye-level continual visual contact is maintained even when the door is closed. Once the door begins to open, vision is extended to the entire door height.
Due to the lateral opening speed of 2 metres per second quick and safe passage of goods are possible without the risk of collision or door contact with man or material – providing disturbance-free traffic and material flow as well as efficient in-house operating procedures and significantly reducing interruption of work or expensive door repairs. In case of power failure the door can also be opened quickly and without difficulty by means of emergency operation with spring power. Automatic opening is optionally available.
Short opening and closing cycles of the NOVOSPRINT reduce heat exchange and as well as dangerous draughts in the door area. The air cushion between the twin-skinned door leaves provides the best possible thermal and sound insulation.
Minimal space requirements (towards the side as well as in the lintel area) allow problem-free assembly even under difficult installation conditions as well as the optimal use of the opening in the construction.
The self-supporting framework construction in combination with the typical Butzbach opening direction of the door leaves to opposite sides compensates all of the dynamic force of the door’s movement. That simplifies the fastening of the door to the building considerably and at the same minimizes the impact to building statics. The NOVOSPRINT is extraordinarily suitable for a later installation.
Each NOVOSPRINT, like all Butzbach doors, is manufactured to the millimetre according to your requirements. Special designs, such as cut outs for crane flaps or individually opening door leaves, can easily be accommodated. Up to 180 individual control variants guarantee an optimal integration of the door system into the customer’s in-house material flow. Due to the product variants NOVOSPRINT Hygiene (for use in the hygienic field, e. g. for the food and pharmaceuticals industry) and NOVOSPRINT ATEX (for use in explosive areas) the scope of application is even increased.
