Due to the compliance test for escape and rescue routes, users can integrate Butzbach high-speed doors in their escape route plans.
All Butzbach high-speed doors with dimensions of up to 4.50 metres by 4.50 metres (being used as an inside and outside door) equipped for escape routes, therefore fulfil the essential requirements of automatic sliding doors for rescue routes. For this reason Butzbach is one of the few suppliers of high-speed doors that has a general authorization for installation in escape and rescue routes.
Requirements in order to obtain escape route approval are, among others, fully automatic door control in the escape direction and diverse self-monitoring door features that must still be guaranteed to be functional even after one million opening cycles. All safety features of the door are self-monitoring, so upon disturbance, e. g. power failure or malfunction of a component, a safe status of the door system and therefore, the safety of its users can be guaranteed at all times.
In contrast to vertically opening high-speed doors, Butzbach high-speed doors do not need so called anti-crash technology, which prevents or alleviates damage to material and doors. The lateral opening principle of the Butzbach high-speed door prevents the danger of collision alone due to its intelligent opening principle and guarantees safe and friction-free material flow at all times protecting man and material. Due to the lateral opening of the two door halves, opening is twice as fast and opposed to vertically opening doors, the complete opening height is immediately accessible for the user. By integrating transparent panels at eye-level continual visual contact is maintained even when the door is closed. Once the door begins to open, vision is extended to the entire door height. Due to the lateral opening speed of up to 2 metres per second, safe and fast material flow becomes achievable! Disturbance-free traffic and material flow as well as efficient in-house operating procedures are guaranteed, interruption of work or expensive door repairs can be eliminated.
