What is the difference between a stacking door SPACELITE HT and a sectional door SPACELITE HTU?
Opening principle: The door panels of a stacking door stack in a cassette behind the lintel, the sectional door deflects into the room.
Lintel space: The sectionbal door SPACELITE HTU needs much less lintel height than the SPACELITE HT.
Pass door: A pass door can be integrated into the sectional door SPACELITE HTU.
Door Sizes: In contrast to the SPACELITE HTU, the stacking door SPACELITE HT is also suitable for especially large openings.
Since when has Butzbach been manufacturing stacking doors?
The first fibreglass stacking door was put into operation in 1977.
Up to which sizes can stacking doors be manufactured?
Door systems up to 18 m wide and 25 m high are standard for us. Should you be palnning a larger system, then our department „Special Solutions“ will take good care of you and find a solution, guaranteed!
Are only standard sizes available or can individual doors be made to specification?
The doors neither have a standard height nor a standard width! All door systems are adapted individually and with millimetre precision to the given profile of requirements (lintel height etc.)
What is the minimal lintel height for the installation of a stacking door?
Depending on the construction size, beteween 650 and 1400 mm are necessary! Should the necessary lintel height not be available, then we can offer you alternatives, e. g. installation with a lintel cover, various exterior installations, etc.
Can the door system be utilised for renovations?
YES – low load on the statics of the building due to the self-supporting door construction as well as individual adaption to the local conditions (no interference with lifting platforms, lamps, heating, crane rails).
Can an emergency door be installed?
YES – emergency doors are installed as fully-fledged pass doors to strictly separate walkways and driveways! Thereby, accident -prone thresholds are avoided and the stability of the door is maintained.
Which kind of safety features does the stacking door have?
Burglar protection: Due to the fibreglass door panels and the automatic locking of the drive unit.
Passive safety. No protruding hinges and supporting braces, no free hanging helix cables and steel wire ropes, no crushing aand shearing edges!
Anti-jamming mechanism: All doors are equipped with a safety edge control. Upon contact with an obstruction the door automatically stops and reverses!
Is the stacking door equipped with an anti drop device?
YES – The self-monitoring anti drop device (TÜV - tested) guarantees permanent functionality. In all cases, dropping door panels are immediately caught and arrested.

Which kind of maintenance and service are recommended?
For the permanent functionality of the door system, we recommend annual standard maintenance carried out by our in-house service team.
Is a safety inspection of the door system necessary?
YES – once a year the employer's liability insurance association demands a UVV test (regulations for accident prevention) according to BGR 232. Our authorized service team is qualified to conduct the test.
In which colours is the stacking door obtainable?
The lateral tracks as well as the transverse profiles can be coated in all RAL-colours. The fibreglass colours are Emerald-green, Sapphire-blue and Brilliant. Therefore, the door system can be optically adapted to the corporae design of your business premisis.
Can the door still be operated in case of power failure?
YES – In case of power failure and standstill all* door types can be opened with a hoist chain (*HT 40 is serially equipped with an emergency crank handle- hoist chain optional – extra charge.)
How can the stacking door be actuated?
Butzbach stacking doors can be actuated with all regular pulse transmitters (e. g. mushroom buttons, pull switches, key switches, diverse radio controls and traffic light pre-emptions etc.).
Length and extent of guarantee?
According to VOB 2002/B. With conclusion of a maintenance contract: 4 years on static parts and moveable parts, with exception of wear parts. Without conclusion of a maintenance contract : 4 years on static parts and 2 years on moveable moveable parts.
What is included with the stacking door?

Which scope of service does Butzbach offer?

How long is the required delivery period?
Our standard delivery period is between 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the season. Individual delivery arrangements are available on request!
How is the door system sealed?
The door is completely sealed towards the building by means of weather resistant rubber profiles. Aside from that, there are rubber profiles between the door panels and the tracks.
Why does Butzbach use lifting chains?
The lifting chain runs safely over the sprocket and therefore, cannot jump out of the guide (a reliable drive mechnanism). Furthermore, the chain is a low service part with a very long lifetime.
Can an optically uniform façade be achieved with matching stacking doors?
YES – for this case, our own façade system VARIOPLANplus is available. It makes entire building façades possible in fibreglass!
