The first NOVOSPRINT was put into operation in 1984.
How fast does the door open resp. close?
The opening speed is 2 m/s and the closing speed is 1.5 m/s. Special feature: „Power consumption only when closing!”
Up to which sizes can the NOVOSPRINT be manufactured?
Door systems up to 4.50 m wide and 4.50 m high are manufactured to the millimetre with twin-skinned door leaves. Doors with a single skin can be manufactured up to 10 m wide and 6 m high.
Can the door system be utilised for renovations?
YES – low load on the statics of the building due to the self-supporting door construction as well as individual problem-free adaption to the local conditions (e. g. cut-outs for crane rails and conveyor belts).
Where can the high-speed door NOVOSPRINT be utilised?
Wherever friction free non-stop traffic flow is wished, where the staff needs to be protected against draught and noise, and where you want to minimise the cost of energy (e. g. transit from the outdoors into the hall, from warm workplaces to the chilly storage facility, etc.).
Lateral (horizontal – towards the sides) opening principle – why?
Safety Aspect:
- immediate access of the entire opening height;
- no dangerous pivoting
Hygienic Aspect:
- no soil particles dropping down (like e. g. with vertically opening doors);
- no direct contact with the goods (like e. g., swinging doors, strip curtain)
Which kind of maintenance and service is recommended?
For the permanent functionality of the door system, we recommend annual standard maintenance or after 50.000 opening cycles, carried out by our in-house service team.
Is a safety inspection of the door system necessary?
YES – once a year the employer's liability insurance association demands a UVV test (regulations for accident prevention) according to BGR 232. Our authorized service team is qualified to conduct the test.
Can the door still be operated in case of power failure?
YES – upon using the emergency opening, the door is opened quickly and problem-free with spring power (automatic triggering= optional).
In which colours is the NOVOSPRINT obtainable?
The standard colour of the door frame is black – colour coating in all RAL colours is no problem at all. The standard colour of the door skins is signal yellow with transparent panels at eye-level.
How can the NOVOSPRINT be actuated?
Serially with push-button - prepared for all regular pulse transmitters (e. g. mushroom buttons, pull switches, radar motion sensing device, reflection light scanner, induction loops, radio control and traffic lights, etc.).
Butzbach stacking doors can be actuated with all regular pulse transmitters (e. g. mushroom buttons, pull switches, key switches, diverse radio controls and traffic lights etc.).
Which kinds of passage control variants are there?
Serially, the door closes within an individually configurable period. Single-beam photo eyes resp. diverse variants of light curtains are available.
What is included with the NOVOSPRINT?

How long is the required delivery period?
Our standard delivery period is between 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the season. Individual delivery arrangements are available on request!
How is the door system sealed?
There is a special plastic strip between the building and the door frame, between the door skin and the door frame a brush seal. Optional: a brush seal at the bottom of the skins.
Which kind of safety features does the NOVOSPRINT have?
- dual self-monitoring safety edge channel at the closing edge (the door leaves reverse upon contact)
- transparent panels at eye-level
How can the NOVOSPRINT door skins be cleaned?
Soiled door skins can be washed with water and standard detergents. Please do not use solvents!
Where is the NOVOSPRINT fixed?
Depending on the on-site situation, the door frame is installed either behind or directly in the reveal (making theentire opening width accessible).
Which kind of material is used for the door skins?
The 1 mm door leaves are made of polyester fabric, laminated on both sides with PVC; thus achieving high resistance to folding and tearing. For special use, e. g. in the food industry, a PVC-free foil is available.
What kind of supporting construction is needed to attach the door system to?
Since the door has a self-supporting construction, no load bearing walls are needed (ideal for renovations).
Can the NOVOVSPRINT easily be used as an exterior door?
The NOVOVSPRINT can easily be used as an exterior high-speed door. However, it is not suitable as an enclosure for the building, becuase it does not offer sufficient burglar protection.
Up to which wind load does the NOVOSPRINT function?
Depending on the size of the high-speed door, wind loads of 40 to 60 km/h are no problem.
How much space is necessary for the installation of the NOVOSPRINT?
For smaller door systems, the space required to each side is 330 mm and 325 mm in the lintel area. For larger door systems, 400 mm to each side and 440 mm in the lintel area are required. The installation depth is ca. 400-500 mm.
