Which technical thermal insulation data does the façade have?

Depending on the requirements, our façade system can reach a U-value, which fulfils the currently valid energy saving regulations.

Where are these façades typically used?

They can be used universally, where the working premises require a high percentage of natural daylight and simultaneously a good thermal insulation value is to be reached.

How long has Butzbach had experience with this type of façade?

One component of the façade is the time-tested fibreglass panel, which we have been using in our industrial doors for over 30 years now. The first façade of this type was installed in 1994 in Holland. Since then the façade has been subject to continuous improvement und fulfils the required state of the art.

Up to which size can the façade be built?

The twin-walled fibreglass panels can be mounted without interruption up to a maximum horizontal resp. vertical length of 15 m. Under consideration of the DIN 1055-4 the façade might have to have a structural reinforcement depending on the wind load. The large resp. possible spans of the façade let the building appear “lightweight” and save the cost-intensive use of aluminium profiles.

Can the façade be combined problem-free with windows, doors, rows of windows a. s. o.?

All opening options in the aluminium system construction can be integrated into the façade with no problem at all.

Can the façade be matched to the Butzbach doors?

The façade can be matched perfectly to all Butzbach door types made of fibreglass.

How long does it take to mount a façade?

The ready-for-assembly production process of the façade system allows a friction-free and quick installation. The exact time span naturally depends on the size and the type of building project.

Which savings potential does the façade system offer in the scope of the entire building project?

Low weight is guaranteed by using the materials fibreglass and aluminium. That brings a savings potential, which begins with the basic construction of the building right up to the foundation.

How high is the level of translucence?

The translucence oft he fibreglass types is up to 78%! On days with clear skies e. g. a horizontal illumination level of 1.000 lx is achieved at a room depth of ca. 30 m! The DIN 5035 requires 500 lx for normal office work premises and 200 lx for normal work premises.

Is there danger of glare in the interior due to the high level of translucence?

NO – the special composition of the fibreglass panels in combination with the aluminium profiles distributes the daylight glare-free and evenly far into the interior.

Does the high level of translucence lead to hard shadows?

NO – due to the composition and structure of the fibreglass panels, the light is strewn diffusely, that means the light rays stray in all directions. The interior is illuminated evenly, a pleasant working atmosphere is achieved!

Does the UV-radiation permeate the fibreglass?

NO – UV-protection is provided by the fibreglass panels for the materials behind them.
