Occupational Health and Risk Management System protects Butzbach employees
„Health is not only an essential asset for our employees. It is also in our very own corporate interest to protect it actively“.
With these words managing partner Thilo Butzbach resumes the motivation to install an occupational health and risk management system and to get it certified according to the internationally recognized standard of the International Labour Organization ILO-OSH 2001.
The intention of this system is to avoid occupational accidents, injuries or diseases and to protect the health of the employees at their workplace. This comprises the entire company with its production sites in Unterroth and Kellmünz, and especially the installation or servicing of the products on exterior building sites. For all areas the risk potential had to be evaluated, then only followed a structured planning of the measurements, their implementation and control. As an example all risk evaluations have been revised with the heads of departments, many old instructions were cancelled and a new, clearer structure was implemented. Mr. Andreas Warnecke from the body of certification, the employer's liability insurance association BG ETEM, handed over the certificate according to the standard OHSAS 18001:2007 to the Butzbach management, a member of the worker’s council and the specialist for occupational safety.
