With the new construction of the municipal road authority in Traunreut, the individual departments and equipment, which were previously spread over several external sites, could finally be grouped in one location. Altogether six individual buildings with 7,200 m² of covered space were built: administrative buildings, workshops, warehouses, car workshops and a heated vehicle hall.
For this new building Butzbach supplied a total of 22 stacking doors SPACELITE in the fibreglass colour Brilliant in which the corresponding door numbers were additionally laminated. A large part of the remaining front was designed with the fibreglass curtain wall system VARIOPLANplus with integrated pass doors. Thanks to the fibreglass material, both for doors and curtain wall system, the entire new building received a uniform and distinctive look.
A few years ago a similar combination was already implemented in the new construction of the Public Services of Traunreut. All project participants were so impressed that this solution was also desired for the new road authority.
Further to its outstanding design fibreglass convinces with superior light transmission – the natural daylight is spread brightly and glarefree in the interior of the building. Working areas are pleasantly illuminated and artificial lighting can be largely dispensed with during the day. Thanks to the good thermal insulation values of fibreglass, the employees find balanced temperatures in the areas located behind doors and facade.
Convincing door technology
In addition to the fibreglass material and the space-saving design, the installed stacking doors are appreciated in particular for their reliability. By dispensing with common wear parts such as hinges or torsion springs which are prone to failure, the doors are particularly lowmaintenance and contribute to costeffective building planning through savings in maintenance costs and long service life.
