Soundproof doors for Salus in Bruckmühl

Reliable sound insulation meets sustainable energy - with the stacking doors from Butzbach in the Salus biomass heating plant.

Technical excellence, the highest sound insulation requirements and a harmonious overall appearance - all this is combined in the stacking doors that were used in the new construction of the innovative biomass heating plant of the Salus company. In close coordination with the architect in charge, the project was realised in a record time of 1.5 years and a highly functional, emission-reduced overall system was created.
The biomass heating plant will supply the traditional natural pharmaceutical company - now in its fourth generation - with 100% renewable energy from waste wood. This will save around 1,500 tonnes of CO from fossil sources every year - a strong signal for sustainable industrial processes.
A key issue in the planning: noise protection. Due to the inner-city location directly adjacent to residential buildings, it was essential for the architect not only to fulfil functional and design requirements for the doors, but above all to ensure that immission protection was demonstrably above the minimum requirement.
The decision was therefore made in favour of the tried-and-tested Butzbach stacking doors, which impress with their demonstrably excellent insulation values and robust construction. "In addition to functionality and flexibility, sound insulation was the decisive criterion for the door selection. The stacking doors from Butzbach not only fit perfectly into the building in terms of function and design - the cooperation was also absolutely reliable." - Mr Theinert, architect of the biomass heating plant.
In addition to the technical performance, the doors were also convincing in an architectural context: Despite the industrial requirements, the building had to convey a certain ‘lightness’ in terms of design and blend harmoniously into its surroundings. The stacking doors make a decisive contribution to this thanks to their precise execution and harmonised design.
Last but not least, Salus praised the long-standing cooperation with Butzbach and emphasised the high quality of the solutions supplied and the smooth implementation from the planning phase through to installation.
