Customized solutions

The requirements for doors in such varied building areas such as direct reception, test hall, workshop, car handover and used cars pavilion are much diversified. Butzbach was able to meet all the expectations with specially adapted versions of its stacking door SPACELITE: Three of the doors are made of the Butzbach classic fibreglass material in Brilliant colour, which provides a soft and glare-free but very deep reaching room illumination due to its special surface structure.

All other doors have been designed in the real glass version – the door panels consist of a high-quality insulation glass with double tempered safety glass. In contrast to conventional acrylic glass these real glass panels are permanently protected against scratches and cleaning traces as well as against fogging, condensation or dirt between the panes. In addition to that, optical deformation with disturbing reflections is avoided. An excellent thermal insulation value of Ug = 1.1 W/m²K supports the concept of an energyefficient building.

Three of the real glass doors (in the area of the car handover of VW Passenger Cars) are designed in the new version without vertical interspacers. These doors no longer remind of a classic industrial door but create the visual impression of a glazed curtain wall and thus contribute to a sophisticated architectural solution.

Safe and long-lasting

For all doors the customer can rely on the special advantages of the stacking door technology: Upon opening, the door panels stack safely and compactly behind the lintel and devices on the ceiling such as lighting fixtures or lifting platforms are not impaired. The low-wear design of Butzbach stacking doors purposely avoids protruding hinges, helix cables or springs susceptible to faults and thus reduces maintenance work and contributes to the creation of an economic building.
